Microneedling

MICRONEEDLING (by quote only)
Skin needling, also called microneedling therapy or collagen induction therapy (CIT), is a minimally invasive skin-rejuvenation procedure that involves the use of a device that contains fine needles. During this procedure, the MD Pen Microneedling Device is used to create controlled micro-injuries to the skin in order to aid in the production of collagen and elastin. The skin’s repair process results in improved skin texture and firmness, a softer appearance of fine lines, wrinkles and skin tone, as well as acne scars and large pores. A numbing cream is applied to the skin to reduce discomfort. The procedure is typically done in 15-30 minutes on the face and neck over a topical gel which also promotes collagen production.

Immediately after the treatment, there will be a noticeable bright redness to the skin. This can last on average of 1-3 days post-treatment, while some patients are completely healed in 24 hours. Utilizing a custom post-care regimen with Rhonda Allison’s medical-grade skincare will help to speed up the healing process.

Notice an immediate glow to the skin. Visible changes within the skin can develop over a course of a couple of weeks. Results can continue to improve for up to 6 weeks after the treatment as collagen production continues. The treatment is recommended in a series of 2-3 treatments spaced about 6-8 weeks apart. Depending on skin concerns, some patients may need only one treatment, while others with deep wrinkles or acne scars may be recommended to receive 6-8 treatments at 6-week intervals.
