Waxing is a great way to reduce unwanted hair. It can provide you with smooth hairless skin for weeks. We are highly experienced with all types of hair removal, from Brazilian waxing to eyebrow shaping, using Satin Smooth soft wax for quick and efficient removal for the most sensitive areas. Hard wax will sometimes be used as well for those hard to reach areas.

Waxing Common Questions

How often should I get waxed?

Each individual’s hair grows back at different rates, depending on their hair type. Areas such as the brows, lip, etc. can be done every 2-3 weeks at the soonest. Larger, sensitive areas where the hair tends to be coarser, such as the bikini and underarms is recommended every 4-6 weeks.

Yes. There are numerous topical and internal skincare medications that can “thin” the skin causing it to lift or be more sensitive. A consultation will be performed with each waxing to ensure waxing is safe for you. Waxing cannot be performed on those using topical Retinols, aggressive exfoliation products, Accutane and more like these. Tweezing may be a better option for some, which we provide as well.

It’s recommended to let hair grow at least 10-14 days after shaving to remove the hair as smoothly as possible from anywhere on the body. If waxing on a regular basis, appointments should be scheduled at least 4-6 weeks apart, with no shaving between sessions to keep hair fine and minimal long-term. Picture a granule of rice, about 1/4 inch long. If you feel the hair is too long, leave it for your technician to trim as it is better to be too long than too short.

Waxing pulls the hair from the follicle which weakens the root. This will cause the hair to grow back sparser and softer, and therefore will not stimulate darker hair

  • Hair must be at least 1/4 inch long to ensure a smooth, even removal.
  • Exfoliate skin 2-3 times per week between appointments to prevent ingrown hairs.
  • Wear loose, cotton-like undergarments to avoid irritation post-waxing.
  • Avoid saunas, soaking (hot tubs, pools, baths), tanning, excessive exercise for the first 24-48 hours post-waxing.
  • Avoid using deodorant, moisturizer or other creams and lotions for several hours after waxing so you don’t clog your pores or irritate the skin.
